Work carried out by the students of the Public Workshops
The young students of the Ateliers Publics from 7 to 17 years old were invited to work from the work of the artist Jean-Michel Folon.
This project, developed in partnership with the Atelier de Folon, opened the doors of the artist’s Monegasque studio on Quai Antoine I to them. It enabled them to discover his universe and the poetic view he has taken of the world. Back at the Bosio Pavilion, our young recruits appropriated and reinterpreted the major key themes that punctuate his work.
They expressed themselves through a variety of mediums, from ceramics to watercolour, through cutting and wooden models. Supervised by their teachers Jeffrey Haines and Laure Fissore and assisted by Sophie Sédiri and Ewan McNab, the students continued their learning in visual arts while testing many techniques.
We have devised a scenography that invites the public to travel and invites them to take a dreamlike stroll through the works of children and teenagers, in homage to an artist who has produced part of his work in the Principality.
Salle du Garden, at the Pavillon Bosio, from 9 to 13 March 2020 from 1 to 6 pm.
We would like to thank Stéphanie Angelroth, Director of the Foundation and the Atelier Folon, and her teams for their kind contest and all the students of the Pavillon Bosio for their involvement!
