Théâtre des Variétés, December 13 and 14, 2016
The collaborations between visual artists and choreographers are numerous, both on stage and in the exhibition, and refer to a long history. On stage, the plastic practices move and reinvent themselves, in the exhibition, the choreographers rethink the places of the bodies and the different receptions of the living. In the in-between spaces, the works go beyond formats and question the modes of exhibition, conservation and mediation.
Artists, choreographers and theorists intervened during two days to think together about these inhabited exhibitions and these platforms open to the multiple territories of art.
A round-table discussion with students from the Pavillon Bosio, the Master Exerce, National Choreographic Centre of Montpellier, and the Dance Department of the University of Nice- Sophia Antipolis extended these exchanges.
