Théâtre des Variétés, 10th & 11th décember 2019
Garden, exhibition and scenography have many points in common: in the way they represent space, address bodies and looks, take charge of the notions of routes and viewpoints, arrange circulation and set limits.
Garden and exhibition are linked to ideological contexts, to modes of organisation of the visible and political management of diversity. The current context of climate crisis and the resurgence of ecological questions puts the relationship to nature, the place of attention, of sensitive life, back at the centre of artistic practices and research on exhibition formats.
Artists, landscape artists and theorists presented their research and reflected together on the mutations of art and the models of construction of knowledge and the visible that underlie them.
